Cancellation, Transfers and Rescheduling Policies
All of these policies are outlined in the Terms and Conditions agreed to when booking a course or other activity at Offshore Sailing School. We stand by those policies. No exceptions will be made. We strongly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance with “cancel for any reason” coverage for your protection (see below for suggested companies). Purchasing Travel Insurance is the best way to protect your investment should something unforeseen occur before the start of your course, flotilla or other activity. Travel requirements throughout the World can also change without notice.
Course Cancellation Policies
If you choose to cancel for any reason, 91 days or more from your start date, a 10% cancellation fee on the total amount paid will be retained. Cancellation requests made 90 days to 61 days before course start date incur 50% penalty. No refunds of any level are provided on cancellations that occur 60 days or less from course start.
Course Rescheduling Policies
If you choose to reschedule your course, you may do so one time, 91 days or more before your original Course start date. A 10% date transfer fee will be charged based on the total value of the package you booked, per person. The monies you paid, less the date transfer fee, will be applied to your new course start date which must be confirmed at the time of transfer request. If rates for the new date requested are higher than the original package purchase, additional fees are due at the time the transfer is made. Any discount applied to the original course date will NOT be applied to the newly-requested course date. The transfer must be to the same course as original booking, within 12 months of the original dates, on the same boat type in the same location. Date transfers are not allowed for requests received 90 days or less prior to the program start date.
Additional Policy Information
Cancellation and rescheduling policies are subject to change.
Date changes and refunds are not allowed for course cancellations or interruptions once you arrive for your course in the BVI or Florida. If Offshore Sailing School must cancel course dates due to unsafe weather conditions, we will reschedule your course to a mutually-agreeable date within 12 months of original course date.
