Now, you can start learning the nuances of handling a power catamaran on the Gulf of Mexico, and visit surrounding barrier islands in our catamaran sailing classes.
About the Fontaine Pajot Catamaran Motor Yacht MY 37
This remarkable yacht delivers the space, stability and comfort. Its contemporary design incorporates fine detailing and fixtures with expansive living areas, naturally illuminated by large panoramic windows, enhanced with soft ambient lighting throughout. Integrated cockpit access provides a steering station below and an excellent fly bridge with a protected helm station, great visibility, and a delightful area for sunbathing or relaxing when each day’s lessons are over.
Outstanding Stability and Control at Sea
The MY 37 has an advanced hull design to ensure outstanding stability and excellent performance at sea, with impressive fuel economy that makes it the ideal yacht for long-term cruisers. This fun to handle catamaran power yacht is powered by two 220 Volvo engines, and carries 158 gallons of fuel. Specs for this very popular cruising cat are 36.1′ LOL (length overall), 16.7′ Beam, and 2.6′ Draft. The yacht carries 93 gallons of fresh water.

The MY 37 you will learn on has an owner’s suite with bathroom and two double cabins sharing a bathroom. Maximum number of students is four. The instructor always has one of the cabins, the other two cabins on our power catamaran can be assigned to two couples, two singles, or a couple and a single.
The MY 37 is Based at Tarpon Point Marina, Cape Coral
Just 30 minutes from the airport (RSW), Tarpon Point Marina in Cape Coral is the home of the outstanding Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village where you will spend your first night before boarding the yacht.The catamaran lessons start Monday morning and end Saturday by noon. During your Fast Track® to Power Cruising Course, you will move from port to port, anchorage to anchorage throughout the week, while you learn to sail the power catamaran, while navigating with a multitude of electronics on board. On Friday around noon, the instructor will leave the boat (or stay aboard as a silent observer) and you and your classmates have the unique chance to enjoy a 24-hour test cruise on your own – returning to Tarpon Point Marina by Saturday noon.
